Subject: ⚡️ Artist Call: Auction Night to activate Heartside Neighborhood small businesses & support emerging GR Artists!
Hey Grand Rapids and surrounding Artists!
DreamPirate Gallery in partnership with Grammotones in the Heartside district of downtown Grand Rapids invites you to participate in our 2nd Artist Auction Night! This is a fantastic opportunity to sell your work, gain visibility, and directly support the future of community arts programming right here in downtown GR.
Funds raised will not only go directly into your pocket, but will also help DreamPirate Gallery, Grammotones and the Heartside Neighborhood fully activate newly awarded grants to expand our services, community support and special events into 2026.

- 1pm Silent Auction begins:

Submission Agreement (The Rules and Deadlines)
Please review the following terms carefully before submitting your work. No application fee.
I. Key Deadlines

| Notification of Acceptance | Monday, Feb. 30 | Artists will be notified if their piece is selected for the auction. |
| Physical Artwork Drop-Off,Sign Auction Agreement | Tuesday-Thursday, February 31-March 5th (Time: 11am-6pm) | Final drop-off window for accepted, ready-to-display work.Sign paperwork |

II. Submission Criteria
- Eligibility: Open to emerging and established visual artists primarily working in the Grand Rapids and surrounding Areas (painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, printmaking).
- Readiness: All artwork must be ready to hang or display (wired/framed/finished).
- Maximum Submissions: Artists may submit up to three (3) pieces for consideration. The gallery reserves the right to select the final pieces for the auction (Live or Silent).
- Artist Bio: Please submit a short (3-4 sentence) artist bio for the auction catalogue.
III. Financial Terms (Commission and Payment)
- Commission Split: The proceeds from the sale of each artwork will be split as follows:
- 70% paid to the Artist
- 30% retained by DreamPirate Gallery (to fund community programs and the Auctioneers)
- Minimum Bid (Reserve Price): Artists must provide a minimum acceptable bid (reserve price) for each submission. This price will be used to place the starting bid in the auction. If the piece does not meet this reserve, it will be considered unsold.
- Payment: Artist payments (70% share) will be processed and distributed by Tuesday, March 10th
